Lindi for
your Mac.

The desktop app is where your app runs. Run it on your computer and code with Lindi Code or any other coding agent, on the same files you design in the browser.

  • Sign in with the account you already have
  • Your files open just as you left them
  • Downloads updates for you, restarts only when you say

What it does
on this computer.

The desktop app can do a few things a browser tab cannot. These are all of them.

  • Only folders you choose.

Lindi opens a project folder only after you pick it in your Mac’s own folder dialog. Remove a folder any time in Settings → Local runtime.

  • Your project’s tools run here.

To build and preview your app, Lindi runs its tools on this Mac, inside that folder: Node.js, npm and your project’s own scripts. When Lindi’s AI works on it, the files and output it needs go to Lindi’s servers and our AI providers.

  • Updates, never a surprise restart.

The app downloads new versions in the background and tells you when one is ready. It installs when you restart or quit, never on its own. It uses the microphone only when you start voice input or a call, and never the camera.

Apple silicon or Intel?

Open the Apple menu and choose About This Mac. A chip named Apple M1 or later is Apple silicon; a processor named Intel is Intel. The page offers the version for the Mac it is open on, and the other one under it.

Is there a Windows or Linux version?

Both are coming. Until they ship, the desktop app runs on a Mac, and everything you design in the browser opens in it as you left it.

What does the desktop app add?

It runs your app on your computer, so you can try it the way your users will, and it is where you code with Lindi Code or any other coding agent. Designing works the same in the browser and in the app.

Do I need a new account?

No. Sign in with the account you use in the browser, and your files, teams and projects are there.

How does it stay up to date?

It checks for a new version on its own and downloads it in the background. When it is ready, the app asks you to restart; choose Later and it installs the next time you quit. You never download it twice.
